Interactive Annotation Session

Page history last edited by PBworks 15 years, 12 months ago

The Interactive Annotation Session will provide attendees the opportunity to gain first-hand experience creating an annotation for a scholarly article using the CRAP test.

Working in your table groups, participants will assess a scholarly article.  Applying the criteria found in the CRAP Test, participants will write an annotation for the article.  A group discussion on the process will follow.

Each table has been provided with an article to evaluate as well as the CRAP test criteria

  • In your table groups, evaluate the article based on the criteria provided

  • Collectively write an annotation – 5 or 6 sentences – providing a critical and evaluative description of the article (post to the wiki if possible!)

  • Spend a few minutes reflecting on the process and considering it from the student perspective

  • Be prepared to share with the audience – both annotations and thoughts
